Stuck on first tutorial - help with tangents

Hello!

I’ve just started out with Shapr and fallen at the very first hurdle/tutorial (this one)

In the tutorial, at 1:37, the teacher adds lines to connect the circles, then makes the line tangent on both ends. When he does it, the lines remain diagonal and connected to the circle in the same way as before. When I do it, the lines get set horizontal and then I can’t move them back to diagonal, like the top line below.

When I make the top line tangent:

Appreciate any help - feeling stupid already!

Thank you

Sorry, can’t add two embedded items or links to the main post. Here’s what the teacher’s sketch looks like when he makes the lines tangent (they stay diagonal).

To view all your constraints you should try this toggle will make it easy to duplicate what your teacher did.

Also as you can see mine doesn’t have a tangent constraint on the larger circle, to make that tangent:

Select the Large Circle First and select the your Line Second and hit the tangent button.

It will snap to the top of the large circle.

As Scalemodel suggested.

In the video here, I made the line tangent to the circle, then mirrored the line to the other side. It’s just a slightly different way to do the job.
