The body is different when selecting from the items list,
and on the drawing desktop or surface.

From the items list, all segments are selected when you
select the body, but from the drawing area, each segment
selects individually.

Is this normal?

I cannot seem to get rid of the segment connection line,
where an arc meets a straight line. So, when tapping out
on the drawing, each segment must be selected individually.

Sweep doesn’t seem to join or union everything togethere.

It’s easy enough to double or tripple click and get everything selected,
or just use the items list.

But, I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong, or if this is normal.
This is on the iPad.

Hello, this sounds like it is normal.

One click on body is select just one face/edge. So if you want to select whole body, you need to double tap.
Or use area selection tool and hit b or choose body.

That body is divided to segments. And selecting each segment gives you ability to edit it.
If I understand correctly your problem.
