Following is a circular utensil which needs to be given a taper of 5 degrees. How to do so?
The simplest way is to start over and reconstruct the body. Extrude with 5° taper then add the upper rim. Let us know if you need another method. There are many.
Thank you Sir,
This is an example of pattern and die and as in case of finished product as you suggested I would again have to start from initial state.
Currently, we can give draft to a body with square geometry but not the circular .
But in case of a complex body it is not possible to rebuild from scratch.
What to do in that case ?
Here’s another way assuming you know the exact center of your cylinder.
Let me know if you’d like another approach.
Thank you very much Sir.
Is there a faster way to achieve it? It is fairly easy to do witch flat walls, all I need to do, is rotate it abut the axis. May similar trick with cylinders/ curves?
Yes, there is a faster way. You can use Scale. Here’s two different ways in the example below. If the result can be done by eye, it’s easy. If you want exact dimensions, a little up front math may be needed.
Awesome! Thank you for the tip.
