The robot uprising doesn't stand a chance

How do you engineer for my gal pal’s hair?

The narrow swath RoboVacs take mid section between the wheels makes them pick up “stuff”, collecting it in the wheel cavity which were full of yuck. Inefficient as well. One simple latch to remove and clean would be better than 4 screws. A latch plus hinge eliminating complete removal for cleaning might work better for the average person who would not attempt removing screws, springs and connectors.

They probably do not develop enough suction for a wider front vacuum so they rely too heavily on silly rotating sweepers on each side.

A project I’d like to try is a charge base that lifts, rotating it vertically flat against the wall for space saving as an incorporation to the existing base.

Not sure why they haven’t thought of better home integration: For example a charge base that could built into and under the first stair step. Or a base station that lift it rotating it vertically into a wall. Or a closet entry like a doggie door.

Sounds like a fun project or two in my future. Anybody else?

It all started with “Can you clean this for me?”.

 The scourge of having a technical mind. Dad my computer’s broke, how do you get the DVD player to screen? (for the 56th time).

Those roller brushes make a massive difference though. I have the upright Dyson - i think they call it the pet hair version (no pets here, just pests). Pickup is exponentially better.

Perhaps suggest an Anne Lenox hair cut (early 80’s).
