True Rotation in windows version with mouse

In the iPad version, we have 2 finger rotation. Allows us to actually rotate/spin on the y axis.

However on a windows PC with just a mouse, i cannot do this. Unless I am missing something. I see there is also the two finger rotation option in the field of view settings, but it seems to do nothing.

I would expect to do right mouse click, and while holding it, then left mouse click and hold, and while holding them, be able to rotate by moving the mouse left and right.

I’m not talking about just panning the view around.

What I’m talking would allow smooth controllable rotation. Similar to clicking the rotate buttons that show up on the cube in the top right. But those only show when locked to a certain angle, like left, right, top or bottom or any of the corners.

Hi and welcome,
In Help menu, you can choose your navigation.

I’ve seen that and gone through it, holding shift in any navigation preset does not rotate like I’m talking. It either pans or translates.
