Greetings all, I’m new to the world of CAD programs. Will someone tell me how to unlock bodies tied by a union?

You can only undo the union. And then not after you close the app and start it again, usually. When using unions, or other complex operation on a object or objects that took time to make it is a pretty good idea to make a copies and hide them before you do it.
This is where direct modeling has a “gotcha”.
