I think I may have asked about this situation before, I am creating a sketch on a surface that is basically in the middle of the part and I want to use a edge that is not on the sketching surface but behind or in front of it what is the best and easiest way to get it on the sketching surface. Actually I cannot imagine that Shapr3D does not have a sketching commands like a “Use Edge” that will use the edges of any geometry normal to the sketch plane and be able to pick it and add it to the new sketch to me this would save a lot of time.
Yes I do realize that I can do that but the problem is that I have to get out of the sketch then “Project” it to the surface that I need it on then go back into the sketch to finish it up. This is a very time wasting process. All of the Cad software’s that I have used over the years have had a one click Sketch command of “Use Edge” that will project any edge that is normal to the sketch plane to that sketch. This just makes more sense to have available.
