26.100 - Auto-Boolean Revolve and Improved Decals

Speed up geometry creation with automated union or subtract actions in the Revolve tool, and gain better control over decal projections and edge visibility.

  • New: The Revolve tool now automatically combines or cuts geometry as you work. A badge appears during the operation, allowing you to choose whether your revolved shape joins bodies, subtracts material, intersects shapes, or becomes a new body.

Hi Jeriz and Team,

This version has changed the minimum required iOS/iPadOS version from 16 to 17. W H Y ???

This is a really big deal, as it excludes a whole bunch of devices. And I seriously doubt there is anything technical requiring this. This is not even a major app version change.

Please tell us, this is just a glitch in the build/release process and that it will be reversed for 26.110 or even 26.100.1

Hi, we were not able to locate your Shapr3D account. Could you please open a support ticket here: https://support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/requests/new so we can assist you further? Thanks

Was that for me? Regarding the iOS version question?

@jnygaard.dk thank you for your feedback. I understand your frustration, dropping support for older operating systems is a tough decision that directly impacts your workflow. To be transparent, this is not a glitch, and we will not be bringing back support for iPadOS 16. Here is why:

  • Supporting older operating systems is a balancing act. It creates engineering, design, and quality control overhead, and we have to draw the line somewhere to allow us to focus resources on optimizing the app and delivering new features. Apple retired support for iPadOS 16 and macOS 13 in September 2025. Extending this we have included a several months long buffer, and sent targeted warning emails to active users on the affected devices so they have ample time to react. Making this switch ensures we can keep our fast release cadence while delivering a high-quality, reliable app.

Please note: While you won’t be able to update to newer versions on your current device, the latest compatible version of Shapr3D will remain fully functional and usable.

I appreciate your understanding in this matter, let me know if you have any questions.
