Hi, I’ve spent a few hours trying to increase the thickness of the tube. I need to keep the outside diameter the same but change the inside to 50, so that there’s a total thickness of 8.5mm instead of 3mm. I’ve attached a video to show the geometry I’m working with more clearly.
I don’t want to delete a surface I might need but I tried to show the deletable edges
Are there any fillets applied that might interfere? Try deleting the fillets if so. You should be able to select the inner face of the tube and resize unless some other geometry interferes.
I did try deleting all the surfaces I could in various combinations. But nothing seemed to work
The video has no animation to it. can you show us a side cross section of the part?
Down in the lower left corner is the cross section tool, Looks like a toilet paper roll cut in half. Click on that for that part and send screen shot.
deleted number but still wouldn’t generate
I think I solved it.
I used split body to create a new additional edge. I increase thickness above the new line, where I needed it. Then adjusted chamfers etc to my linking before hitting union to recombine the two parts
