The problem that this feature will solve:
I press this button accidentally all the time because my brain thinks that it’s taking me back to the previous screen, ie. moving between visual and modelling. Changing it should hopefully stop that.
Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:
To start, the home button is different between the iPad and desktop versions so there’s no consistency. The brain gets used to one thing and then when you change it (switching between iPad and desktop) it seems to cause me issues.
A simple change of the icon so that it matches the iPad icon would stop me trying to use it for something that it doesn’t do.
It even stays there when you open that top left menu so you’d think that it’s supposed to take you back.
What can’t you achieve without this feature?
It doesn’t block my work but its irritating as I just can’t seem to stop doing it. The additional annoyance is the fact that your file uploads as soon as you press it so I then have to wait for the upload before I can enter the file and continue with my work.
I’d be surprised if I’m the only person that gets caught out by this.
