I am trying to create half of a golf ball to go on an award plaque. (it will be 3D printed)
when I try to use Project to project my circle pattern onto the half sphere I created for the golf ball, the top circles look OK, but the from the middle of the ball down to the surface it stretches them out of proportion..
is there a way to do this so I can create the divots in the ball?
I figured I could extrude the circles INTO the ball, then use fillet to curve out the bottoms of the holes
I just cannot get the lower section of circles to keep from distorting…
I did try to use Warp & Emboss but it said it only works on conical or cylinder shapes..
Thanks for any help..
