Creating a tyre pattern

I have produced a 2D tyre pattern (Firestone ‘trac’) and wish to copy it onto a 3D ‘tyre’ however, the pattern repeats only every 15 deg of arc. I am looking to print small scale tyres for model vehicles.
Is there any way of either bending the 2D drawing around the circumference or creating a ‘flat’ 3D copy that can be bent?
Keep it simple please, I am very new at this.

Do you have a picture of the tire? Is it the old military style jeep tire?

You can try and create a 15° extruded arc and project the 2D pattern on to its face. Then rotate/copy to to make a complete tread.
