I recently finished designing this support-free therapy roller in Shapr3D and wanted to share the project with the community.
The goal was to create a simple but effective trigger-point massage tool that could be used for neck, feet, calves, hamstrings, glutes, and general muscle recovery. One of the biggest challenges was redesigning the geometry so it could print completely without supports while still remaining strong enough for everyday use.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well the final design performs using standard PLA settings and typical infill percentages. The shape distributes load very well, making it stronger than it might appear at first glance.
I also documented the entire design process in a beginner-friendly tutorial for anyone interested in seeing the workflow from sketch to finished model.
