I would like to know if I can easily export the flat edges of this model to take into my cnc software (Vcarve) so that I can cut it in my cnc machine. Is this possible without too much trouble? Hope this makes sense!
It’s repetitive but I would make an offset construction plane and project each face, hide the projected sketch and repeat the process for all your layers.
You’ll have to make a drawing for each of the individual pieces and then export the drawings as DXF. This could present a problem though be cause when you export the DXF there is usually a title block. I always open my DXF in AutoCAD and delete anything I don’t want in the final output.
