We are working on the export flows and we have a few questions for you:
Our current method is that we export all visible shapes. We add options like “file name” and “include hidden shapes”.

Relax, we are not forcing you to use multiple workspaces. Only visible shapes are going to be exported by default as it works today 
I’m guessing it would also help you if the default filename would change to the only visible group’s label, right?
We try to improve the flow you are using. Optionally it could have a switch, so you don’t have to go through all your groups and change it’s visibility individually and export them, but make it in one tap:
