Fillet/chamfer problem

Hi,

I’m having trouble for some reason creating a fillet between the outside surface of a lofted tube and an extruded face. Both surfaces definitely intersect but I can’t for the life of me add a fillet. One thing I have noticed is that on the intersection no line as such shows up to select. Any ideas?

Using the Union tool, making the two bodies unite, might help you get the prev. expected result
