I want to know why part of my model becomes perspective. I think it may be due to my mishandling that one of my entities has become perspective. For example, in visual mode, this part of the solid model becomes over-mold. As shown, I would like to know what is causing this and how I can restore the perspective model to a normal situation like the one on the right.
As shown above, the model on the left is transparent, and the model on the right is normal.
Hi,
Which material did you apply to the transparent face? If you use transparent material, it will be transparent in the modelspace too, so the easy way to fix it is to use a non-transparent one.
Thank you for your reply. However I am not using a transparent material. To be precise, the top of the model has a similar situation to the mold, and the other sides of the model are normal. For example, the internal structure of the model can be seen from the top, but is completely invisible from the bottom. To prove this claim, I used red ABS material for visualization. As shown, the top surface is black invisible, while the bottom surface is normal red ABS.
Also, when I just tried to export to an STL file, a warning popped up that there is an invalid entity in the file. It seems that the entity on the left has some kind of error that is causing it to appear transparent, I suspect that the model may have a broken surface, however I have not been able to confirm and resolve this.
Did you import the geometry, or created it in Shapr? Can you share the workspace to investigate?
FYI, you can change the way Shape3D displays imagery in 3D space.
Thanks for that TigerMike, I wasn’t aware of that method.
