Help with angled drawing

Im trying to lay out holes on a workpiece but struggling with the angle it was modeled at. Its a railing so its at an angle. I want to measure from front edge to center of a bunch of holes. Marked the examples in red in the images. Also including a screenshot of another rail that was flat as an example for what im after. Edit - it will only let me add one image. Will try to add below.

What drawing with top down gives me. Its showing from straight top down which is expected but i want to basically lay the piece flat.

What i am after. This was for a flat railing not an angled one.

You could make a copy and physically rotate the model.

In the view there are few options one is Section, here is what that would look like.

Thanks, that section view looks like what I am after! How do I add that view to the drawing?

Here is how it works, first you need to select your side view of your railing and when you select the Section button it makes you select 2 point and than drag out that view you selected.
