STEP and IGES files are both supported in Shapr3D, but we recommend using STEP whenever possible as it typically preserves solid geometry and structure more reliably. IGES files can sometimes import as surfaces, which might require extra work to prepare for mold design. That said, you can still use IGES files in Shapr3D and continue your hydrofoil project—just keep an eye on the imported geometry to ensure everything comes through as expected.
