The problem that this feature will solve:
If you draw 2 circles and would like their centers to stay horizontal or vertical it is not possible by simply adding a constrain.
The same applies to vertexes of non-perpendicular corners.
Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:
The workflow would be streamlined and a little more intuitive in my opinion.
Many other CAD-systems also support this, for instance:
- FreeCAD
- Alibe Atom
- SolidWorks
- Autodesk Fusion 360
- Onshape
- …
That makes this functionality kind of standard of the industry.
What is is that you can’t achieve without this feature?
- Working without this function irritates my personal workflow.
- Coming from one of the CAD-Systems above that frustrates and lowers the UX
- as a workaround I could add a construction-line or -axis, but that makes the sketch a little less lean and clean. The less elements we need in a sketch, the better it is!
