import in excel or spreadsheets

Hi There, does anyone knows a workarround to get a BoM.
Like exporting a file an importing them in Spreadsheets or something like that?
It’s starting to get a little frustrating, I’d like to be able to export data and go from there. So ik can create my own BoM or cut list. Or maybe a way to copy the layer structure as text.

Not that I’m aware of unless done from the very beginning. Like having a folder for a specific screw size and length and starting with one and having the numbered copies give you a total after. That would be the easiest way to have it set up now.

I keep hardware folders for sub-assemblies, but will still have to total everything after the fact.

Unfortunately without having an importable hardware library like in SW there’s no way to keep track of it currently. Perhaps start a feature request to include say McMaster Carr’s hardware library as a plugin (assuming they don’t have an exclusive contract with SW). That’s where I import 98% of my hardware models from.

Hello J.StudioCoert,

As a workaround, I export the drawing in Step and reopen in Viacad 3D. Select all, tools and attributes and BOM.

Attached is the sample.
