Lines in 3d print where i have ledge

I have these lines or gaps in my print. All it is is a cylinder with a platform. The platform is unioned to the cylinder and everything looks normal in the splicer. What could be the issue here?

Heres what the file looks like

What kind of printer? Most issues like this come down to a loose belt or other loose or worn component. If you look at the slice layer by layer and don’t see the artifact then your printer is at issue.

Some picture of your printer and different angles of the problem might help. Especially on the forum for your printer.

Filament feeder slip? Adjustable pressure possible?

Don’t think so. I’ve tried it with 3 of my printers, and i keep them pretty well maintained

Does it happen in the same place on all three?

If you can share I can try the stl and/or gcode (have you had a look at the gcode?)

Yes, it happens exactly where the platform is on the inside and the exact same height.

I have 4 bambus, 2 nakermake, and a creality. I tested on 2 bambus, an a1 and x1x, and my ankermake m5c

Have you looked at the slice job layer by layer? WYSIWYG. What slicer?

Not yet, i will in the morning after work. I used bambu slicer and ankermake for my m5c. I also had a similar problem on another design when i extruded the bottom to make the bottom a little thicker. It created a line right where i started the extrusion. Could i be doing something wrong with shapr3d?

Sometimes another body gets buried inside another on boolean operation… try selecting the body and moving it aside to see if that’s the case.

Im pretty sure thats probably it, but how do i fix it. I tried putting it directly on the inside wall of the cylinder but no luck. I then expanded it about 3mm on both sides and same thing

If it is in the model, another place to look for it is in visualization.

Hi,
Try maybe the section view to check inside.

Using auto-arrange to make sure all bodies are disconnected is a good way in Bambu Slicer. How that works with other programs, I don’t know.

They shouldnt be seperated. The thing dhould all be printed together

In Bambu Slicer you can choose variable layer height to reduce print time. So in areas with less detail it will slice with a thicker layer height and in detailed areas like overhangs it will use finer layer hight.
The optical result however is similar looking to your photo.

What are the slicer settings you use on the Bambu Slicer. How many walls, which wall generator do you use, outer or inner wall first, etc.?

There are countless options which could affect the outcome of your prints.

Best regards

I think (not in front of my machine) you usually have to separate bodies first then auto-arrange IIRC.

Do you have bodies stacked and not joined by union? A fellow here sent me a file to print for him that had that problem. Would not print correctly.
