Mirror Tool No Longer Accepts XYZ Lines After Update

Since the latest IPad updates, the Mirror tool no longer accepts the default XYZ axis lines—it just throws an “invalid selection” error.

This forces us to create custom XYZ sketch lines for every new project, or midpoint lines for every object we intend on mirroing, which seriously slows down the workflow.

Can we please get the old behavior back?”

Thanks for the quick reply (which may have been deleted after I read it), good to know! The only issue with this update is that, on large architectural projects, if you’re working far from the origin (0,0,0), the XYZ planes often appear way outside the viewport. You have to navigate all the way back just to click on them for mirroring.

It would be great if those planes could appear closer to your current view or working area. That would really help keep the workflow smooth.

I also relied on the default center lines for mirroring. Just found out you can’t do that anymore which kinda sucks!

But I see why! They put Symmetry constraints on the Mirror so you need that middle line, but not sure why that is necessary.
