Creating a wavey circle pattern

I notice a pattern of spheres. I think the pattern is like an X pattern of spheres around a cylinder. 5 spheres in a line shifted/ rotated around the cylinder and duplicated 8 times for 360 degrees. The pattern repeats left or right symmetrically around the cylinder? I might try embedding spheres in that pattern around and into a cylinder (half buried into the cylinder?), union that all together. Then use the fillet tool to smooth it out to get the wavy pattern you see on your vase? Then creat…
