Need help with a vase design

Is it possible to create this vase in Shapr3D? Link to the YouTube video is below. They seem to be using a loft function to create the dimples. I tried it, but it created a flat surface.

That looks like a fun one to make, kinda reminds me of my other one but inverted and shaved off.

I thought about it and in Shapr it’s top down loft.

This version by Mike makes most sense minus the Ridges on it and imagine inverted.

Interesting. I will give this a try. Thanks.

I thought I’d dabble and see what I can come up with. Note that S3D simply cannot model that vase the same way or similar to Solidworks however with some latitude one can make some interesting shapes. My version was done rather quickly and it does not equal the original vase but it is close however incomplete. I had a bit of fun making this. Note that it was initially created in a 30° segment. I did my usual circular pattern to complete the 12 segments. This was the first time it took minutes to calculate the result via the Intersect tool on my M4 iPad Pro, whew!

And here’s the initial 30° segment construct.

I think that looks pretty good!

I was also just trying it, using the top down method, need more work, but I think it can get there.

I usually start simple to test and build it out later.

Got the original concept working.

I’m impressed how quickly this could be done. Thank you!

That looks pretty close to the original design. Glad I posted this here. Two great but different ways of doing it. Thank you!

I have been making various lamp shades designs for family and they all enjoy the interesting shapes.

This one is another interesting shape. I also tried the tutorial on the other software Ohsape (design up front)! Have to say because they have 3d Sketch this was lot easier, faster to do also more predictable to design, could be faster than Solidworks.

I hope Shapr gets 3d Sketch soon!

Looks great. I’m trying different things with these circles. Fun to loft them.

Haha I see what you did Smart!

I wanted to send lamp shade for 3d print but needed it fully filled so I can just print the wall only, apply no infill in the slicer.

But your example figured that out! I like your method.

I subtracteed a regular vase from it. I’ll try printing mine too!

Ok now I have to make LED innards.
