I was designing a couple of hours ago and just logged back in to design again and saw changes and got so excited that I might actually be able to search for some thing by name or put it in a folder finally since we’ve been promised for the last two quarters that it would be coming soon. Disappointed right along with you. We pay a lot of money for this application every year. I really hope they start listening to us and give us these basic organizational tools. I’m tired of sifting through hundreds of designs looking for the one I need.
I’m new to Shaper3D, so also new to this community.
Having used AutoCad and numerous other cad, design, modeling software for quite a few years isn’t new to me by any means and just signed up for the trial to check it out and am on the fence with it considering how much it costs a month with it still seeming to be in it’s infancy with all of the comments I’ve seen.
Anyways, I have a neurological disorder similar to Parkinson’s that can be challenging at times, mostly with involuntary hand movements, so having my non mouse working hand hovering over a keyboard doesn’t work for me. A number of years ago I stumbled upon a gaming “keyboard” of sorts, it has only 16 keys, which you can set up for different levels of keymaps by assigning a key to cycle through te different “levels”, but also has a small thumb operated joy stick/ D-Pad, that can give you another 8 keys and a scroll wheel with a side pivoting action like some mice have.
It’s made by Razer and has been a very good solution to adding or just mapping hot keys.
I also use a Logitech Anywhere mouse that has a number of extra buttons that can be assigned, (some days i cannot for the life of me get my finger to pull of a simple “Double-Click” which I program a button for.)
My mouse is older, still uses a usb receiver thing that worked on my old Macbook a number of years ago, but i think a newer version of it is bluetooth that works with iPad.
Just throwing it out there as an option for others to consider.
