No horizontal/vertical button

Is there a way to make sure when I add a horizontal axis to a construction plane it is perfectly horizontal/vertical

When I add a horizontal axis there is no way to make sure the newly created axis is perfectly straight. When I try to hi lite the axis the button to correct the horizontal/vertical disappears. I try to use the background grid to lineup but I would like to have a more precise way of doing it.

Your construction plane is rotated relative to the overall grid.
Draw the vertical axis in orthogonal view on the main plane with snaps on…
Draw another horizontal on the same plane and click the perpendicular constraint.

Then exit sketch, select the two lines and tap the Move/ Rotate tool to drag the two lines into alignment with your other construction plane.
