Hi guys! I want to design an oval sapphire with a length of 8.5mm, a width of 6.5mm and a heigth of 3.5mm, with 1.2mm from the upper edge of the sapphire up to the biggest outer diameter.
Do you have tips on how to approach to design something like this?
Index gear of 96… 360 divided by 96 gives 3.75 degrees… So each number of index is a multiple of 3.75?
Use construction planes and the move tool to rotate into them into position and then use the cut tool to cut away from let’s say an extruded oval as your gem material?
Tedious but doable.
Try plugging in this number into the Gem cut program pc02187.asc (Golden Ruby Oval)?
If i didn’t have other things to do I would try it.
