Pdf, png or Jpeg

Is there any way to get Drawing of a PDF, PNG or JPEG to come in clearer when importing into Shapr3D it really looks pretty bad.

Thank you

I never have this issue, so I am guessing that it is small resolution of imported file.
Check the resolution of file you are importing.
It also depends on how “zoom” you are on the picture in the workspace.

Actually the PDF is a E-size drawing 56" x 44" and yes it is distorted when I zoom in too close but it is just as bad zoomed out to full size. Hopefully the Shapr3D team can let me know what I can do to make better.

Thank you

And what is dpi on that file. It is also very important. 56"x44" is size but its not a resolution. More important are pixels resolution in this case.
And can you provide screenshots of that?

Also is it a jpg within a pdf. (raster) or is it vector are all factors in the problem.

It is just a plain PDF of a Cad drawing when it is opened and looked at in Adobe it is verry clear but when I import it in Shapr3d it looks really bad is this as good as the PDF will look in Shaper3D would be nice to hear from the Shapr3D team for their input.

Thank you

If it’s vector inside a pdf you can select components like text. If it’s raster like a jpg you cannot select individual elements. It could also be both.

Point is a raster image will not be handled the same as a vector. Vector is usually scalable. Raster is not scalable up or down without losses/ distortions. Try using the scale tool on the pdf and see what happens.

Hi danno11,
Have you tried with an other PDF ?
A real PDF, not an image saved as a PDF.
It is unnecessary to import such a large format as the PDF because you can zoom without loss. This is the PDF’s own.

The PDF i am bring into Shapr3D is a true PDF it is a D-size drawing but that should not matter. No matter what size I bring it in as it is a really bad looking graphics I was hoping that the Shapr3D team could give some imput on this issue.

Thanks
