So I’m working on this design, and I have it round on the top oart. Im trying to figure out how to completely make it smooth with that line you’ll see in the pic.
Where? Which line?
Look at the part in visualization and see if the line is still there. If it is not there, it represents the end of the curve where it flattens out at the top. That’s an artifact of direct modeling and will not be in the rendered or exported model. (If it is the line I think you mean)
Yeah, the line. I did pook at it and doesn’t show it in visualization, but i can feel it when it’s printed
Hi
Can you share the shapr file ? Only the part of your screenshot
If you think thats going to be an issue don’t connect circle to a line.
Create the sketch with SPLINE and revolve.
Also if you can feel it in the printed pieces that might be the steps of each layer.
Layer height.
Some slicers support layer height changes in zones now. I thought I saw that in Bambu slicer notes recently.
Variable Layer Height?
Tried it long time ago, it introduced some weird artifacts so I stopped using it but that was when P1P was first introduced so few years ago. Might have gotten better now?
I thought I read something about it in the last firmware notes I read a month ago.
Personally if I need to reduce layer height as much as possible I just use a smaller nozzle. Or go clean up the resin printer.
Some printers/slicers does it ‘backwards’, a smaller nozzle gives a thicker minimum layer…
