Stretching a 3D space curve

Hello!

I’m turning to you again!

Is there a way to stretch a 3mm thick curved sheet/test and see its entire perimeter from a top view?

A curved body needs to be covered with a sheet and manufactured. The covering is already in order in the plan, we should somehow see the perimeter that we would cut out with a laser and then bend onto the body.

Is there a way to do this stretching/unfolding?

Unfortunately you can’t flatten within Shapr.

You can flatten with other tools that has it like Freecad or Solidworks, etc..

But if you are sending it to get it flatten the sheetmetal people can do that for you.

They will also lay it out in the most efficient manner so not to waste materials.
