Hi guys, I am really proud of what came into life. Just wanted to share. After months of designing, printing and building, my fully 3D printed Antonov AN-2 finally takes to the skies!
It is the legendary Antonov AN-2 biplane. The aircraft was designed from scratch, using nothing but my iPad and Shapr3d.
Specifications
Wingspan: 1570mm
Weight: 2700g
Thanks Shapr!

Maybe soon you’ll be able to take on the An-225!
Actually, still looking for next project to aim for
An-2 was quiete a challenging one. I used spiral vase mode to print most of the wings and tail. That alone might seem simple, but boy did it take a while to figure out some of the parts!
I know exactly what you mean.
That euphoric feeling when you finally figure it out and everything works is hard to beat. And then, almost immediately, you start looking for the next challenge to get that same feeling again.
It’s a little addictive… especially when you realize you can do all of this on an iPad.
