Twisting an internal profile in a swept object

Trying to sweep a rectangular profile. The internal shape is also rectangular, like a pipe. I want to twist the inside rectangle 90 degrees, so the entry end is horizontal but at the exit end the internal rectangle is vertical. I am trying to push an object through the internal profile so that it turns the object through 90 degrees at the exit. Can this be done?

Currently with the sweep you can’t do that, there is no option for twisted sweeps, I would go with a loft in this case (but I don’t know the exact use-case of course).

Hi Istvan,
So I can loft along a swept 2d path, sweep the external rectangle and then subtract the inner lofted profile from the external sweep??

Yes, exactly. You will have to define the profiles along the path, but you can do that easily with construction planes.
