You are close to the result: you only have to use the loft tool with guides.
The key point is that the guides must perfectly intersect with the surfaces. Close to the surface is not good enough for the guides.
Do do the lofting:
- select the top and bottom surface
- select the first and second curve to guide the loft
- select the loft tool
You can delete the unwanted edge simply by selecting and hit delete.
If you want more control over the shape, you can add others guides.
