Hey Cristian,
I like to give you a review as someone owning both the iPad and the SpacePilot Pro:
At my Windows-Devices I totally adore my SpacePilots with Shapr3D (basically because the expierience with tilting and turning with the middle mouse button (like in SolidWorks) feels a little awkward and different, while the Space-Pilot-Experience is the same on both programs.
In regards of the iPad, I don’t miss the Space-Pilot at all! The multi-touch on the screen gives me everything I need… connecting another device to the iPad for modelling would cause an inconvenience instead.
That is just my opinion, but maybe it helps a little.
Cheers Matt
Greetings from MacOS land in Feb 2025. I have had the same problem since day one years ago, and we own two Space Mieces, a wired and a wireless one. Happens with both. Sometimes, the 3D aspects of the mouse stop working and one has to rotate the cube icon at the top right of the Shapr UX, or rapidly move the mouse top as if to wake it up. I think this is connected with complex operations on a model, and when the GPU or CPU are maybe continuing to do some math, this interferes. All said, we have the same issue across our devices, which include the MacBook Pro M4 Pro I am typing this on, and our RTX 4090 equipped graphics workstation. Other than this issue, the mouses are surperb although I hope 3DConnextion will license the tech so Logitech can launch a lighter more affordable version. I carry the new USB-C wireless one with me everywhere, and it’s the heaviest gadget in my bag!
