Aligning a sketch with an object?

Hi. I received simple and effective help to my queries yesterday. So here we go again.

I have an object which has a side which has a side which does not align with the X axis. I then have a sketch (imported from Sketchup as a DXF) which DOES align with the X-axis. This sketch contains a template for holes which need to be projected onto the side of the object. I need to align the side of the object with the sketch (or vice versa) so that I can use my new trick of projecting. Any ideas?

Extrude a new temp object with one side where you want your existing object and use the align tool to move your existing object to the correct location
