Hi there Istvan, just wondering if shapr3D can do animation like the attached video.

I believe this was just a screen recording which you can do right now.

They used constraints.

Not sure if you saw my video example but you are talking about cylinders animating.

They used constraints to animate.

Video I used key shortcuts to move between different standard views. If shortcuts could be assigned to user defined views you could get a very nice animation. This should be also quite easy to implement for developers.

I would love to have this feature as well.

Need or problem: Many design processes require the ability to demonstrate features or aspects of a design to colleagues, students, and others who don’t use shapr3D and/or the need to show parts of the design.

Current process and pain point: To create even simple animations, including fly-throughs, to illustrate a design or parts of a design is a very manual process that requires multiple screenshots in shapr3D and then assembling them in other programs to animate the pictures. Heaven forbid that you want to change the design, color, lighting, or flight path because even a simple change requires starting the process over again.

Competitive products: This is a common feature in other products, including Autodesk Fusion (360). I’ve been known to create something in shapr3D, export it only to import it into Fusion to make a simple animation. I might just use Fusion to create and animate the model to save going through the manual process.

Yes, please in shapr3D.

Hi,
In Shapr3D, you can use Share the project. Test it.
