I have a 3rd party Apple Pencil which works fine but I get a message in red “Apple Pencil isn’t connected” whenever I am not touching the screen with the pencil. Is there a way to remove this? Cosmetic only but distracting as it is bright red and switches on and off very frequently. I don’t want to resort to a genuine Apple pencil for this issue alone. Any help appreciated.

Me too. I’ve had a second Apple Pencil failure, both times just out of warranty, I’ve given up on them. I’m using a third party pencil now, and it’s working fine, Is there any way we can get rid of this annoying red label telling me that Apple Pencil is not connected? It’s not connected because it’s in the trash.
