Loving the new parametric modelling features! They make it much easier to modify previous sketches and see updates in real time.
However, since I work on an iPad (as many Shapr3D users do), I sometimes misclick on certain items while trying to complete a task. When Shapr3D processes an unintended request, it can take a long time and often crashes.
For example, if I’m modifying an extrusion in the history panel and accidentally click the wrong body, sketch, or folder, Shapr3D will spend a lot of time trying to extrude that item, even though I didn’t mean to click it.
This wastes a lot of time. It’s often quicker to quit Shapr3D and reopen it than to wait for the program to return an error.
It would be great if Shapr3D could estimate compute times for complex tasks before starting them. If a task is estimated to take longer than a certain threshold, a pop-up could ask if the user wants to proceed. Users who don’t want this pop-up could disable it in settings.
