Hi guys, can anyone help, I am attempting to model a bicycle frame, after using the spline tool and ellipses along 7 point using construction plains, I can use the loft tool to make a solid part but it won’t let me Shell to make a tube, I anyone could help that would be great.

It’s quite difficult to tell what the problem is from just one picture. Can you share the project?

Hi mate, basically the above picture is a rear stay from a bicycle, I am just looking for a method to hollow it out to make it an extruded “tube” with a .9mm wall thickness.

Just a guess, but what might be catching you out is the profile sketches still being toggled visible. So maybe you’re selecting the sketches instead of the`“end cap” body surfaces of your tube when using the shell tool?

The problem is I don’t have any problem with shelling the lofted body.

That’s why I’m asking to share your project to understand where is the problem.

Good guess. I just didn’t think that someone who has been using Shapr3D for five years would not understand that :slight_smile:
