There is the Default 3D View but I want a different perspective as a default but I can’t see where I can change that. My objective is to have several models (all the same except for a few minor changes) and then to have all these have the same magnification and orientation and position on the screen.
That would mean it is then easy to illustrate the changes. Right now I am having to manually adjust the perspective view angle and the size of the image in each project, which is quite tedious and not accurate.
A simple alteration to the default view and magnification/panning on the screen would mean I could easily compare the views in each project.
Can that be done, or is there any known work arounds if it is not a standard feature please?
Currently, that is not a feature we have, but you can use these as an alternative:
Or using the keyboard shortcuts and hotkeys
Great thanks. I tried my best with this and tried to adjust each to the same manually but each project varies slightly. This was not possible as it is right now. However, I exported in STEP file format and asked someone who has CAD to do this for me. It might be something to consider for future so that models can be compared in different projects from the exact same perspective. Perhaps an easy solution would be to give the three ordinates of perspective angle by way of a read out and also give the zoom figure as well and if these could be entered manually it would amount to the same thing for all practical purposes. Hope that helps as feedback to Shapr3D staff.
