Hi, the app supports all Apple Pencil compatible iPads. If your device supports the Pencil you have, the app will work great on it.

I’ve a IPad 2018, the basic one of 128gb with first generation Apple Pencil and also a new 12.9” IPad Pro 2020 with the second gen. Apple Pencil…and the program runs in both, obviously more fluent in the PRO but runs in every iPad that supports first or second gen. pencil.
