I am trying to replace like pictured to create a new angle for the screen in my car to be facing us rather than it showing half the sky and half the roof lining on the screen making it hard to see the screen for directions etc… but I can’t find the options to keep said mount but angled to be 10mm thick bottom 55mm this top and curved at the top so it’s lowered toward us to keep back and front of mounting to be same size as measured?
Top/bottom 225mm sides 130mm thickness 3mm for 3d printing purposes. I will be removing it soon to do final adding on like screw points, measure again finally then print. Test, tweak etc,.
Hope someone can help me out?
Thanks for that. But when you measure that front it is bigger. Hence why top have to curve downward so it measures the same bottom remains there top moves down curved if you understand?
I really do appreciate the video! Will get back to trying again after dinner and iPad being charged
I realize that English is not your first language and sorry to say that I have no idea what you are talking about. Here I’m taking a guess as to what I think you’d like to do.

Ok I done it… but altered to match size on front equal to rear…
However I tried same to back top to be 3mm thickness I couldn’t figure it out…
Only your way works but when I add flat top like I did, it cut out the top off so a void… hence crafting right size front with 3mm thickness top so I could exclude the top thicker so I could exclude away the top to create this… now inside back need excudung way but how? Headaches continuing! Lol
I’m deaf. British and English is my 2nd language. BSL is my first… I do try my best to explain it in my head sometimes it come across weird but it’s how my mind works…
Going to watch your video now… but people tend to go fast and not highlight what they are doing…
I did the first time you shown me… your design left the front 8mm too big I cropped it to fit the size required.
However doing that left the top sliced off leaving a big hole… so I took extra time sizing it up with more lines… still left a hole on top.
So I exduce underneath top section so that hole now filled… but left the thickness as shown in image provided.
I only have one more to do to the bracket afterwards, adding blocks so screws can screw into.
When I watch the videos from how2… often subtitles I read then moss what was highlighted. So I have to rewind to see what it was talking about. Hearing people are very lucky to hear!
YES! I have the same trouble and I can hear fine. Mike is among the best, sometimes too fast to follow @TigerMike. Be nice to find a video capture tool that can incorporate “Pause Prompts”.

@TigerMark is this the correct way? Please excuse my dumb mind… just hard to keep up trying to make sense what each words mean!
I do need to add bits where screws would go into… the screws are tiny… around 5mm long and 2mm thick I would say…
I will watch videos to try relearn it properly… so different on pc 10 years ago to iPad now! So much have changed!
@admins can you edit my topic to change it?
I’m working on designing a mounting bracket for my car stereo, and I need some assistance. The current face angle of the stereo is tilted too far up, showing more of the sky than the display. I would like to adjust it to a 40-degree angle so that it faces more towards me, improving visibility from the windshield.
I’m using the Shapr3D app, but as a novice, I’m finding it time-consuming to learn from scratch. I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a helpful guide or tutorial that I can watch or read to become more proficient with the app.
To design the bracket accurately, I’ll need to remove the head unit screen and take precise measurements for the screwing points. This is part of my learning process and experimentation. Once I have a better understanding of what I need to do, I’ll start the design from scratch using precise measurements.
If anyone has experience with designing mounting brackets or using the Shapr3D app, I would greatly appreciate any guidance or resources you can provide. Thank you in advance for your help!

Yes that is the correct way provided the end result is what you want. Can you upload a photo or two of you car stereo? I’ll be happy to help out adding a mounting screws and a bezel if you wish.
