You are in the right place… a couple tools come to mind. First, what kind of “barrel”?

Revolve or loft could work for almost any barrel.

Thank you so much for a extremely quick response. It is for my son who wants a chug jug from fornite but instead of just copying a project I want to learn how to do it.

First image: barrel profile to “revolve”. Bear with me I’ll make some images to help.

Then “revolve” that.
Then select top surface and use the “shell” tool.

Then duplicate it and move duplicate to the side with the “move” tool.

Wow beautiful thank you so much will give it a go right away

Now I make a sketch for the cuts in front of one barrel.

Select section of the drawing to extrude thru 1st barrel.

Drag the selected thru the 1st barrel.

I made a mistake by using the shell on the second barrel… I’ll show you why next

I move 2nd barrel into 1st barrel for subtracting.

Use the subtract tool with “keep all” bodies. I am not going to shell second barrel until I use the fillet tool first.

Fillet all edges. Then shell 2nd barrel.

Move barrels together and wallah.

I learn by teaching. Selfish of me.

You modeling is only as good as your sketch. This was quick so a bit dirty. But gives you a working method. Hopefully others will pitch in and point out better methods and then we all learn.

I don’t make videos, I’m a bit shaky from nerve damage in the neck… not quick or pretty.

Make sure you have it set to “keep all bodies” in the subtract to make it easier IMO. Make sure 1 barrel is + and the other barrel is -

Doing that you will end with 3 parts, one of which can be deleted.
