Dear community. I need your help.
I have tried to remix some different folded paper lamp-designs without success.
I would like to recreate the shape of folded paper like in this lamp:
The loft tool has been my tool of choice, and my first attempts do look OK, but I can’t figure out the geometrics of the changes in angle along the surfaces.
See my different attempts in comments.
Any suggestions of how to create a loft surface over star-shaped polygons at an angle? Or is my tool of choice the wrong one?
You might need a combination of loft and boolean subtract.

Thanks for your reply. Do you have some more details on what you think I should try. Maybe a screendumb?
Housework day today. Will show my idea tomorrow. Sorry.
Sorry for late reply. Very quick example should show what I came up with. Lofted the main body. Then made planes on one ridge’s line segment and drew triangles on them. Lofted the triangles into a shape to subtract from the main body. Pattern then triangle shapes around the main body and subtract them. Not very elegant and there might be a better way But with careful planning it should be doable.

You can further manipulate the Triangle shape using the move tool and bevel tool etc.
