Easiest way to 'fill' a volume

We have the shell feature which hollows out some geometry. But is there a way to do the opposite? if you have a shell of some complex geometry (say a box with existing geometry or components inside it that are seperate bodies) is there a good way to fill the free volume?

You can select the inner faces, and delete them, or create a body in a shape that covers that area, and use Union to fill the hole. There are probably other methods too, it’s all about what fits your use case the best.
