Doing some simple knob design as a test as I probably gonna move all my OpenSCAD/FreeCAD designs for my open source SMT pick’n’place machine to Shapr3D…
The extrusion tool offers two dimensions:
- extrusion depth/length
- angle of extrusion
While the first dimensions resolution changes when you zoom in and out…the angle resolution is always stuck at 5°.
So back to my simple knob it took several attempts to get the right extrusion angle for the notches around the knob…
