Failed to Export file

Hello i’m trying to export a file that i remixed myself by adding a holster fixture of sorts for a lighter in the canister you see. For some reason im unable to export the finished design to any formati.e STL, 3MF, STEP or a Shaper3d file. I’m lucky enough to say that i’ve created several design successfully using Shapr3d so im honestly confused on where the issue is. I’ve read other discussions where there might be holes or other irregularities in the file/design itself BUT im unable to find any. Im fairly new to CAD so of course maybe i missed something? In any case could someone possibly take a look at my file and tell me whats wrong? Thank you

Hey. With view-only access, I can only see published designs, and you haven’t published them yet. To access the project, I need editor access.

Hello, i just published a current version of my model. If you can request access to be an editor ill approve it so you can have a look.

I did request access but I can’t request editor access. You decide what access you’ll give.

Yep, now I can see it in the web but still cant open the project in Shapr3D to investigate.

UPDATE: Just checked and I can open it now in S3D.

For now I can successfully export to .step and .shapr. But not to .stl of .3mf.

Well, the source model is very bad quality and this is the main reason you can’t export it to .stl. It has a lot of non-manifold structures and strange holes in the geometry. Looks like a mesh converted to .step.

I’ve exported your final result to .step then reimported and found a couple of places which didn’t let export to work. Here is the semi-final result. It can be used to work further.

Fixed.step (5.0 MB)

But I would recreate whole model from scratch to make it valid.

OK, thank you so much for looking into this for me. Im able to open the fixed step you shared. i guess its back to the drawing board literally haha. Going to recreate the file from scratch like you suggested. Cheers !
