Fillet oddity

Good morning

Started with porting my OpenSCAD design over to Shapr3D…

For a x-rail mount I wanted to add a fillet to the mounting screw holes but did a copy of the design first so I have a good previous design state…

Now when I want to apply the fillet it can only go up to around 0.8mm and refuses to go further:

But when I open the previous version and do the same it is all fine:

Any ideas what’s going wrong here?

This is on 5.40 on macOS 12.1…

cheers

Check the smallest depth from the perimeter to be fillet

Odd…after restarting Shapr3D it works as it should…not the first time I experienced this when suddenly fillets wouldn’t work anymore…

Sometime it crash…or perhaps we miss something

Hi,

We have implemented G2 fillets. This type of fillet can be difficult to generate in complex areas (where different edges meet). When you are creating the fillet you can select the cog wheel bubble and ensure you have G1 selected. Please let us know if this does not fix your issue.

Isn’t G2 only available in the business subscription?

It is, so unless you explicitly set it to G2, it shouldn’t cause any problems.

I wasn’t aware of this. I thought all modeling tool features were available on all tiers, aside from color.
