Help please

I am still new to this programme, but am drawing timber frames for timber buildings. I am creating each component individually and then placing them in the virtual frame.
My problem is that when I come to modify an individual component often it appears to have formed a group with neighbouring components making it necessary to redraw all of the now grouped components again just to modify the one!
There must be something that I am doing wrong or perhaps there is a way that I can un-group individual components ?

Thanks

Roland

If you push/pull faces, the overlapping shapes will be automatically fused or cut if they overlap. After pulling a shape, tap on the number label, there you can select “new object” on the top, that way they won’t be fused.

In this blogpost we also explain how to switch between “fuse”, “subtract”, “intersect” and “new”: http://blog.shapr3d.com/whats-new-in-shapr3d-jan-2017/#New-extrude-commands
